I thought it was a good idea to use transparent clay vs white, seeing as less fingerprints and grooves/bumps are visible. Turns out that there's just as many inconsistencies, but they're just near impossible to sand down/smooth out because they don't show up until after you paint them. -.-

The feel of making something almost exactly how you want it on your first try, being super pleased and thinking it's going to be that easy the second time around and after about the 10th re-try you realize your brain is just like 'HAHA NOPE'.

As for prepping, there’s a ton of stuff that needs to be done/get made/be purchased before then. If anyone has any ‘first timers’ advice as to what to expect, how to be best prepared, etc..we definitely wouldn’t mind. :p
